I have been so lazy...and you can see that from the time I wrote my last blog....Several things happened since then...I moved to chicago, got married and aged 3 years...

It is a wonderful change to be married and I am really enjoying it. It is great to have someone to talk to and share your life with...Its like starting your life all over again. I think everyone should be married at the right age and share their life, thats when they will get to know themselves better.

I read a couple of books recently...."Five Point Someone" & "Rich Dad Poor Dad".....I think I learned a lot from both the books...I want to summarize for whoever reads this..the two books in two lines...

list of injuries......

I have not realised until a week ago.....when i hurt my cercicle bone.....that i have had too many injuries from my childhood......so i thought i should make a list of them....
1. Buffalo's horn:
When I was 3 years old a buffalo lifted me on its horn........luckily it was 1cm beside my back one...i would have rather died then ...than living a life without backbone.....
2. Kite madness:
When I was 10 years old I broke a bone in my ankle ....tried to climb a wall....on bricks proecting out...when i was midway....one of the bricks broke...as a result i broke my ankle
3. Eye lash:
In IIT ....I had a two injuries to the eye....this was smaller but a wierd one.....we were playing hockey and one guy hit me very slightly...between my eye brow and my eye lash (by mistake...)....a small eye opened up....above my eye...i had two stiches...
4. Eye brow:
This was the harder one.......I was on the wrong side while playing hockey ...........and got hit really hard on the eye(luckily it hit the bone above the eye)....my hands were full of blood...We went to the institute hospital and I had six stiches on the eye brow ........
5. SLAP tear in the shoulder:
This would have happened as a result of many things.....weight lifting...tennis (real hard serves).....volley ball.........got it repaired through arthroscopic surgery in the US....when i was UT austin
6. Cervicle bone crack:
This is small crack...but it pained a lot...i hurt while playing american football with my friends at HSBC........i fell on the arm i already had the surgery...i hope it did not do any damage to the repaired cartilage....

I am sure Jackie chan would have had.......many more injuries........but that is the nature of his work....but what am i doing........i just feel i am prone to these......so I have the highest probability of getting hurt when a group of people are playing..........so i have decided to play only non contact sports....when my arm gets better.......

I was really busy writing my thesis....and writing papers..I was working with an intern from iit delhi on one of these papers and it was fun working with him. We worked really hard to get the paper out..Fahad, one of my roommates was always there to accompany me for the late night rather early morning (2 am ) coffees,..at 7 eleven..... oh thank heaven!!

I travelled to california to interview with HSBC on july 10th and with capital one in dallas, Texas on july 25th. I was very happy to know I made it to HSBC and gave a treat to my roommates in austin...and that one...The pics below show lasvegas from flight and dallas downtown...

This is an effort to update my blog after 5 months.....that says how busy i have been.......

June ...was great with a trip to India........for my sisters wedding... It was pretty hectic trip for

20 days....It was lots of fun with distributing invitations, shopping and interacting with my brother-in-law's family and getting to know them. I caught up with some of my school and iit friends....and many relatives.I went to the beautiful ..After coming back from India I went on a short trip to Texas A&M university ....that was a fun trip catching up with friends at college station...This photo is from the Georgebush memorial museum.

May was fun.......with the end of spring semester in the first week.....though i did not do much during the semester expect for one course and some "research"....I was so happy to have got past another semester....
More fun was waiting for me in the last week of may......my friends from my school came to Austin for a get-together......As you all know...Everything is big in Texas......and yes our gettogether @ austin, Texas was really big, Bhavani (Kentuky),Rahul (Detroit), Pradeep (Arkansas), Raghu(Elpaso) and me met for the first timeafter 2 years I came to U.S. We drove a total of 1300miles in 5 days.....I neverexpected I would enjoy so much.....let it be.....Showing things like HEB( grocery store speciality ofTexas), UT(University of Texas) Tower, Mount Bonnel, Carlos & Charlie's on Lake Travis, Mozarts on lake austin......Bowling/ pool, kayaking/ canoeing on town lake, Dancing in clubs @ downtown austin........Trip to Seaworld and river walk in Sanantonio........ Trip to Barsana Dham ( Temple near austin).....Trip twice to houston to pick and drop bhavani.....and watching the beautiful buildings in downtown Houston......Having food at Indian restaurants in all the threecities:Student biryani, Shalimar, Sarover @ austin, India palace @ sananotonio, Mayuri @ houston.....The use of exclusive expletives by Bhavani......Pradeep's sense of direction ( using"NEWS" to remeber the order of directions.....Rahul's coolness ( can do anything at his own slowpace)........Raghu's tension....always on the top infeeling tensed ( We measured it on a scale).......... It was loooooooots of fun........

night outs......

hey, ever thought of why does some one put a night out........you cannot beleive when I say this.......there are some people who never put a night out......they are really afraid of a night outs....I feel most night outs are unplanned ......like the one I am putting today........I never thought I would put a night out today but it happened.....do not read beyond this if you already feel sick in the stomach..........

So we need to understand one basic thing about night-outs: there are some planned ones and there are some unplanned ones.......Planned ones pale out in comparision with unplanned ones.....some reason for planned nightouts:
1) Assignment due next day........
2) Test the next day......
3) Driving to a place overnight......you could be sleeping on this journey...but then you will have to sleep forever...
4) shivaratri....
can't think of more...

But the resons for unplanned nightouts can be nearly uncountable:
1) You feel like it.......this can be any feeling
2) Keep watching TV, movies.......
3) Really stuck on some thing...say a problem to solve.........
4) Reading a book........
5) writing a blog......
6) browsing the web...
7) talking on phone......
8) talking in a group.......this one is fun....happens a lot in IIT
9) Mosquitos biting all through the night
10) Bedbugs......very recent of my experiences........
11) Dancing all night.....
you think of more........

So, what ever the reason for unplanned nightouts, they will help you become more creative ........so plan some unplanned nightouts........oh no.......cause they should not be planned to be unplanned.....

Yup, thats what I felt about my creativity when I read through suman's serious blog........wathced syntax's drama...solved da vinci code puzzles on google...and many other things. So, I started thinking how to be creative and thats the reason I started writing this piece of crap which I call my creative side. Beware I do not know whats coming next in this blog because this is supposed to be creative but I feel I am not one of the creativest (created word.......i do not know if there is a superlative to creativity but i created it......see thats my creativity)....I know if you read till here you might be feeling why am i reading this crap?.....I have an answer to that....I am going to leave you now.

So many things happened today.......I thought I should keep blogging regularly from now on as it helps you remember something important which happened to you for a long time to come.......not to forget its importance when you catch up with some of the friends that have been a part of it ......and discuss after a really long time what happened today...........should be a very fulfiling experience......so everyone BLOGG!!!!!
Three things I will not forget from today.........
1) Way I was fooled and I fooled someone........both involved practical jokes......though very sensitive to the person getting fooled.......both involved "love"...........something you don't want to mess with.........but in the end both were really enjoyable experiences.
2) Cricket match in Harris park.........which involved me in the crunch ......it was 1 ball 6 runs to win.........I thought I will never be able to do it.......after actually sucking it up from 6 balls 9 runs......but .....I hit the ball........it was travelling over the boundary in air...........all our team was jumping in joy.....when the disaster happened.......the ball touched the branch of a tree which was inside the boundary though it landed outside the boundary directly.......and according to the "rules " it was declared a 4 and we lost by 1 run............One thing not to be forgotten here .......is a comment by someone who thinks she knows cricket well " why did not you run while the ball was in air........you could have got the other 2 runs required right!!!!!"........I went "WOW!!!!"
3) The first ever "conference call" all our school mates in US had featuring more than 4 people....me, bhavani, raghu, rahul and chandrika.......only person out of reach was pradeep ........with Bhavani sucking it up big time being the "organiser" of the event......and using expletives when not required and were really out of place........but anyways hatsoff to his talent in contradicting his own ideas with in the same statement............" arey bhootulu matladakandi raa yedavallara.......".........We wished madam happy birthday and it was a long funfilled talk....after a long time............

March.........Power of procrasination

MArch was fun...........though with some hiccups.......getting to know I would not be graduating in may........During spring break I had been to fredricksberg.........Camped in Castell (ghost town.....population=13)......met with new friends......nagi, guy, uday, chetan, kamal..........This was a pic on the way to that trip...it was lots of fun............

Today I went to the lecture........titled : The power of procrastination by Jorge cham......Phd Comics fame........everything he said in the presentation was so brutally true about graduate students......that I attached myself to most of the things he said about graduate students....the best was the slide which said "GUILT".....which I always feel........when I don't work on my research......which happens for most time during a week.........Anyways some things I learnt from the presentation..........are..........Procrastination is not laziness and don't allow it to slip into laziness........thesis writing will almost get you killed.........don't worry you will get through it.....One other important thing happened to me in march .........was getting through the written test for CAPITAL ONE..........and the case interview with Bharat Vasudevan.........it went great.......though I did silly mistakes........I thought I did well........awaiting the result....I should know it by this thursday......

Trip to India........

I have been to India in december, it was lots of fun catching up with old friends, meeting school teachers and spending time with relatives.... I thought India has changed but I don't think so...I have changed.....used to calmness here....I was shocked to see lots of people around and so many vehicles making noise......
I have been to bangalore and chennai with koundinya ...........and those trips were really nice too.......Brigade road....Bangalore central.....Forum.......Legend of rocks......wow I have been to many places in bangalore......met Bala, Vijay, Robo, Gunjan, Nandi, Saabu, Jamit, Machar, .....wow met many people..........
In chennai I have been to my loveliest undergrad school.......IIT.......it was really good to find many of my hostel juniors still recognising me........and .........the way they talked to me.........it makes me feel so close to them yet so far......I was shocked to see new hostel building and giga mess filling up the hostel zone........I met with Piddi, Ruble, Blue fort, Subba, Rajesh, Rajkamal and many others........it was fun.........
By the way I forgot mentioning most important .......my school friends.......people at my birthday party......suman, raaju, poorna, pushpal, praveen_i, bhanu, chandrika, ujwal, sruthi, leena, sravanthi....am i forgetting someone....also met with tarun, djk...
Pratap,Irfan, Sesky came to my house.......it was great to be with them.........
Movies: Jai chiranjeeva, Athadu, Chathrapati, Vennela, Bluff master, King-kong.......

yep.....its been long time I wrote any thing in my blog.....yeah I am a slacker sometimes. I do not have much time,...being the last month before the end of semester... and given the fact that I am travelling to india....on dec 8th. It is exciting but I have to get a lot of things out of the way.......before I can enjoy some cool time with my friends in India........
I went down town for halloween........and guess what I wore a costume of a batman........it was real fun.........I have wathced the fourth one day match between india and srilanka .........it was really good........to watch india play so well.........no we have confidence till the last batsmen.

I am posting the events which have taken place in the past. So, please be patient and read what happened. Bigbend national park is the largest but the least visited national park in the U.S. It is on the U.S border with Mexico. It was so vast, it has width of around 150 miles. Most of it is like a desert but the view of mountain ranges was awesome. Hiking to the window trail was a great experience. We drove aroung 1000 miles to reach it. A group of 7 people went to the park in a 15 seater van. The pictures explain most of what happened.

MIT, cambridge was one of the places I was planning to go from a long time. On the third day of my touring I went there and met Hemanth and Anitha. I had lots of fun. Hemanth showed me around MIT. One of the things which you would not want to miss seeing at MIT is the recently build weird building which is there in one of my snaps. It looks as if it is going to fall. After that we took the T ( the name of subway in boston) to Harvard. It was a cool place. There were many old buildings with splendid architecture. We then went back to MIT and played tennis. Hemanth beats shashank 6-3, 6-3 and escapes a defeat when the score was 1-3, and I got a phone call reminder that I had to pack and be ready for the next destination, Newyork city.

hey, as I wrote in the previous post I am just getting started with this. I know I can get you all interested soon. But for now you have to bear with my hackneyed remarks.
I had missed my second checked in bag on my return journey from newyork to austin. I was tensed, as I had very valuable things in it...I was thinking of the camera my sis gave me, the mps player, the wireless mouse......and new shoes my sis gave me.......they cost $50 . I would have never bought those by myself.
In the evening I got a call, and heard a old man's voice. He said he was bringing my bag home.....I was so happy.......but i did not know then what I would be finding in the bag. No, nothing missing ..............
It was something else I was not looking for or thinking of .....it was my passport,Visa and SSN. My heart skipped a beat when I saw the pouch containing them. ooooooooooh....I am so dumb.
Anyways that was the end of it, now everthing is secure and fine

Back from Newyork

This being my first post in my blog I want to keep it short and sweet. I am back from a vacation today. Its has been a great week.
I have been to the magnificient Niagara falls situated right in between U.S and Canada. The bridge connecting U.S and Canada across the Niagara river is called the Rainbow Bridge. I am lucky to be back at U.T as we lost way and crossed the bridge by mistake. We had to go through rigorous customs check both by Canandian and American officers before coming back to U.S. We were warned to take passports even when going to a grocery store in U.S. Isn't it ridiculous!!!!!!!!
Anyways we enjoyed a lot in the maid of the mist ride (boat ride which takes people close to the falls) and then the fireworks of Canadian independence on July 1st. The next day we went to the cave of the winds walk where we walked to the falls and were hit hard on our faces by the water from the falls.
I then went to MIT in cambridge. It was great to be there and the view of boston downtown form there was awesome with the river in between. I then took the subway (its called the T locally) to Harvard, the land of the eilte. It was great to be there.
Then I travelled to NYC (Newyork city). I lost my breath for a second when I saw the skyline. I first went to the Times Square, the worlds top most, to be place and was mesmerised at the huge T.V screens and the glowing lights. I then took the NYC tour by the bus. It took us close to the empire state building and over the Manhattan bridge. The view of Newyork skyline on the one side and the statue of liberty on the other was beautiful. The bus tour was a disaster for me as I missed the 4th of july fireworks.
The next day I agian went to Time Square and visited the United Nations building.
